Empowerment Through Opportunity
At the Anzal Begum Foundation, we believe in empowering individuals and families to build sustainable futures for themselves. Our Livelihood Projects provide vital support and tools to those who have homes but lack the means to generate steady income. Through targeted assistance, we help restore dignity and independence, enabling beneficiaries to support their families and communities.
Rural Rickshaws
Many households in rural areas include men who are unemployed or underemployed. By providing rural rickshaws as a means of earning, we help these individuals start or expand small-scale transport services. For a contribution of £800, a family can receive a rickshaw, offering a steady source of income through daily operations.
Sewing Machines
We strive to empower women by supporting artisan skills. A sewing machine supplied by the foundation allows a woman to sew and sell clothing or textiles from home. At just £50, this tool can transform hardship into opportunity, elevating the financial status of women and their households.
Rebuilding Homes
In response to disasters like the August 2022 floods in Pakistan, which uprooted some 30 million people across Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, the foundation collaborates with local partners to rebuild homes for affected families. Each home requires capital of approximately £2,000, and your support ensures families regain shelter and stability.
